Commentary:
Best known for his scenes of New York City and surrounding areas, Getz produced the artwork for more New Yorker covers than any other artist.

Titled: Waterfront, the work currently on display was formerly in the collection of the Worcester Museum. It is a bold expressionist view of the port of New York, and is an excellent example of the artist’s mature and confident style.
